... Police taser boy with broken back 19 times

Right... we jump from the realm off odd news to one of stupidity.

Police responding to a 911 call regarding a 16 year old boy who had fallen off a 30-foot bridge fired stun tasers on him 19 times in order to subdue him.

Mace Hutchinson of Ozark, Missouri, fell off the 30-foot Highway overpass and suffered a broken back and broken-off heel. Police who arrived on the scene stated that he was uncooperative and had to be subdued by electric stun guns because he had "refused to comply with the officers," and in order to "keep him away from traffic, to keep him from getting hurt."

The deployment of electric stun guns raised his white blood cell count and caused a fever, preventing immediate surgery by two days.

The Ozark police force are now investigating several unanswered questions, such as how did Hutchinson end up at the bottom of the overpass, but will not be looking into the usage of stun guns.
